Pre-measured solder pellets and adhesive-lined heat shrink tubing combine to provide maximum conductivity and a corrosion-proof seal. the result is a high quality termination without the need for expensive crimping tools.
- Pre-measured piece of solder that has been sized to provide the correct amount of solder for each size of cable connector.
- Available in seven sizes 4 gauge to 4/0 gauge
- Color coded to coincide with industry coding
- A simple and cost efficient way to achieve a perfect termination with no crimper to buy
- Strip the Proper size cable so that the exposed cable will reach all the way to the bottom of the battery terminal (not included) and the cable insulation fits snugly against the top.
- Place the proper size solder slug into the terminal. Secure the battery terminal in vise. Slide the proper size heat shrinkable tubing over the cable. Apply several drops of FLUX to the exposed cable. Insert the exposed cable into the terminal.
- Heat the base of thebattery terminal while applying gentle downward pressure on the cable. Allow the cable to slide into the terminal until the insulation is snug against the top of the terminal. Remove the heat. Caution: Do not apply heat near the car battery. Use only in a well ventilated area.
- Slide the heat shrinkable tubing over the connection. Apply indirect heat to the tubing. Allow the connection to cool. You now have “The Perfect Connection.”
