- These M5-0.8 x 12mm SEMS Screws feature a Pan Head with a Phillips Drive and are made from 18-8 Stainless Steel. SEMS Screws are pre-assembled screw-and-washer fasteners designed to simplify installation reduce handling time and help prevent lost components during assembly. Double Washer SEMS Screws use a combination of one Split Lockwasher and one Flat Washer providing both locking action to resist loosening and increased bearing surface for improved load distribution. They feature a Plain Finish meaning no additional surface coating has been applied; this is commonly used where the part will be painted plated or used in controlled indoor environments. The Pan Head features a slightly rounded top with a flat bearing surface offering a versatile profile commonly used in sheet metal and general fastening applications. A Phillips drive features a cross-shaped recess designed for efficient installation with standard Phillips drivers and power tools
